|| A Good Samaritan found Delta living in an alley, discarded like the old sofa she was sleeping on. She reached out to us for help, and how could we refuse? Delta had no microchip, nobody was looking for her and the shelter, and nobody responded to the ad we placed in the paper looking for her owner, so now she’s part of the LDBHR family. She is loving living inside with her snuggly bed and warm blankies, and when she’s in her bed, she enjoys being petted and having her belly rubbed. Delta is a shy girl and takes some time to understand you don’t want to hurt her, and we understand that. Once she likes you, she will dance in excitement when she sees you and come and lick your fingers. We don’t think she has had much exposure to many people, as she is fearful of being touched, but we’re working on that. She’s done well with other small dogs and would probably enjoy having another little dog buddy to help her learn the ropes in her forever home. She does not walk well on a leash, and she will run away if she gets loose (she does not come to anybody yet), so Delta will need a very secure backyard with no dog door in her forever home if you want her to potty outside. If you want her to potty on pads, she will hit them most of the time. All Delta really wants is a calm home with an adult with an open lap. She definitely does not care for children and hasn’t been shy in letting us know, so she needs an all-adult household without regular children visitors. She deserves to be pampered! If you’d like to be the one doing the pampering for this sweet girl, please fill out an application to meet Delta today!
